They work! Posted: 01 September 2010
Just acquired an Apple Nano ipod from my daughter, but couldn't get on with it. I simply couldn't get the ear pieces to stay in my ears!
Following some advice, I selected these from an overwhelming selection of ear phones/pieces/canal wotsits. I am pleased! I can listen to my ipod without them falling out, and have an option of selecting 3 different sizes of grommit to ensure they stay stuffed in my ear. I'm no audio geek, so cannot make any sensble comment more than 'they sound ok to me....'
Good stuff.
Not bad Posted: 30 August 2010
I've got a Sony NWZ-A729 and the original earphones were quite good, I'd say very good. But they have broken up. So i've got my new sennheiser cx300 II.
Comparing them to the previous ones I can say they sound about the same. And they are very loud,I just can not listen to them on 30/30 volume on my Sony.
They can not manage high treble, bass is good though. If I'd have a choice now to choose between this and some other more expensive ones, like Shure I woulda chosen Shure. But for this price you probably wouldn't find better.
love them Posted: 27 August 2010
i am thrilled with these. I have struggled to get on with other earphones they are all uncomfortable and are painful in my strange shaped ear canals!! However I cannot feel these and the quality of the music its fantastic. Worth every penny. :)
An improvement over the previous model. Posted: 27 August 2010
There are a few notable improvements over the original CX 300. The first is the point at which the left and right headphone wires meet. The original CX 300's simply had an adhesive to stick them together which I found over time had a tendancy to come unstuck and gradually move further down the wire. This has been solved in this model by having a type of junction box where the two wires meet and it then merges them into one, great addition. Another difference is the rubber at the headphone jack. My old CX's would degrade heavily around the headphone jack from general use and this had been solved in this model by having a much more substancial rubber cover which is much larger and designed to be easy to get your fingers under to pull the cable out, my only worry is that it's much more pronounced now and I could imagine it being easily damaged in my pocket or getting caught and damaging the jack inside my ipod, only time will tell but I still consider it an improvement over the previous model. Finally the cable has been made longer which was an annoyance I had with the old version, should be ample length for everyone now.
Many other reviews have covered the sound so all I'll say is that for the £15.75 I paid I doubt there are much better sounding headphones on the market. I read another review which said they were useless to run with as they amplify the external movement sound. This is true to an extent but I've never found it annoying or detrimental to my music experience when I go for a run.
